Understanding Blood Pressure
Blood pressure is recorded as two values: systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP). For example, 120/80 mmHg.
- Systolic Pressure (SBP): The maximum force exerted by blood against blood vessels when the heart beats.
- Diastolic Pressure (DBP): The minimum force exerted by blood against blood vessels when the heart is at rest between beats.

Effectiveness of PreCardix®
Clinical studies have shown that PreCardix® can significantly lower blood pressure. Participants experienced reductions ranging from 0 – 38 mmHg in systolic pressure and 0 – 28.7 mmHg in diastolic pressure compared to their baseline readings. On average, users saw a reduction of 6.7 mmHg in systolic pressure and 1.7 mmHg in diastolic pressure within 8 weeks.
- Speed of Effectiveness:
- 31% of users experienced significant effects within 2 weeks.
- 89% of users saw significant results by 8 weeks.

How does PreCardix® work?
PreCardix® works by inhibiting the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), which plays a key role in regulating blood pressure. By preventing ACE from converting angiotensin I to angiotensin II—a substance that increases blood pressure by narrowing blood vessels and retaining sodium—PreCardix® helps lower and maintain healthy blood pressure levels.

Do not take PreCardix® if you:
- Have a shellfish allergy.
- Have a history of angioedema related to ACE inhibitors.

Side Effects
PreCardix® is well-tolerated with no reported serious side effects. Unlike many ACE inhibitors, PreCardix® does not typically cause dry cough, itching, swelling, high potassium levels, or low blood pressure.
Some users may experience moderate nausea. During clinical trials, mild side effects such as euphoric mood, fatigue, upper abdominal pain, and headache were reported in a few cases.
Interactions with Medications and Supplements
PreCardix® has not been studied for interactions with medications. Consult your healthcare provider before combining PreCardix® with other medications or supplements.
- Blood Pressure Medications: Combining PreCardix® with other blood pressure medications should be done cautiously. Generally, we recommend patients already on BP medication always talk with their healthcare provider or doctor/GP before making changes to their blood pressure management plan.
Typically, a medical professional will review the patient’s medical history and assess current blood pressure control. In some instances, certain tests (kidney function, electrolytes) may be necessary. - Potassium Levels: PreCardix® does not raise potassium levels, but monitoring is recommended if you are taking potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics.
- Other Medications: Be cautious with medications like NSAIDs, allopurinol, lithium, and intravenous iron infusions as they may interact with ACE inhibitors.
Interactions with Food
One of the key benefits of PreCardix® is its ease of use and compatibility with your daily routine, including your diet. The natural ingredients in PreCardix® are not known to interact with food. This means you can take PreCardix® without worrying about specific dietary restrictions or timing it around meals.
These bioactive peptides work independently of food intake, ensuring that their blood pressure-lowering effects are consistent and reliable, regardless of what you eat. Whether you follow a specific diet or have a varied, balanced diet, PreCardix® fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.
However, for optimal absorption and effectiveness, it is recommended to take PreCardix® away from food, as this can help the active ingredients work more efficiently in your body.
